New Indigenous Languages and Culture Certificate
This fall, ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s Arts and Science will be launching a new Certificate of Indigenous Languages and Culture. This new certificate program will introduce students to Mohawk, Inuktitut and Anishinaabe languages and deepen students' understanding of Indigenous cultures.
Art Conservation Program Receives Prestigious Grant
"The internationally-recognized Master of Art Conservation program at ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´â€™s has received a grant of $632,000 over five years from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to develop conservation research and online courses with a focus on Indigenous material culture.
Dr. Richard Ascough named a 2018 3M National Teaching Fellow
Congratulations to Dr. Richard Ascough, Faculty of Arts and Science Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning) for being named one of the 2018 3M National Teaching Fellows for his imaginative, experiential work as a ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s School of Religion Professor.

Art Conservation student restores pieces for the National Gallery of Canada
¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s Master of Art Conservation student Patrick Gauthier worked to repair and restore a severly damaged piece of art, Whatif/Twilight by Ron Moppett, which is now on display at the National Art Gallery of Canada.
Chemistry PhD Student Wins Award for Groundbreaking Cancer Research Discovery
¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s Chemistry PhD Student Caitlin Miron has won the 2017 Mitacs PhD Award for Outstanding Innovation. Ms. Miron has discovered a DNA binder that, in essence, prevents cancer cells from spreading.
