For the first time in Kingston, the Event Management Summit is taking the conversation offline and providing you with the chance to meet face-to-face with local venues, suppliers, promoters and potential volunteers.
Consider this an introduction to the exciting career of event management, including event planning, marketing, negotiations, media relations, event décor and lots more!
This exclusive networking and skills-building program will be particularly useful for people who are interested in planning events at ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s and in Kingston in 2020 - you can put what you've learned to work right away!
• Keynote: Professional event planner Kalla Berk (Politics '13) sharing "what I wish I had known when I was at ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s" with insider tips, resources and career advice!
• Events Industry Panel: "what we wish you knew before you booked events" gives you an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what goes into events from a venue/supplier's perspective.
• Lunch is included in your registration. A selection of panini sandwiches, drinks, Fair Trade coffee & tea, and desserts. All cutlery & plates are compostable.
• Rounding off this full day of learning and networking, you won't want to miss the 2pm Event Marketing workshop on "what you should do before you create a Facebook event." Attendees will get one-on-one advice for marketing their next event from ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´sEvents.ca
