Food Allergy Dining Guide

¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´â€™s Hospitality Services does not have allergen-free facilities; however, we are committed to accommodating students with food allergies on a residence or campus meal plan.

Although we do not have allergen-free facilities and cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment, precautions are taken wherever possible to minimize the risk of exposure.

We encourage self-responsibility and self-advocacy, and strive to provide the most up-to-date information, and plan effective responses to possible allergic reactions.

Where to Safely Dine on Campus

Students with food allergies are advised to visit Leonard, Ban Righ, and Jean Royce dining halls, where:

Menu boards identify Health Canada priority allergen information in Contains/May Contain statements.

Chefs are always accessible to review menu ingredients

Additional precautions for allergy-friendly meals are managed through:

  • the true balance station (at Leonard or Ban Righ dining halls*), where meals are prepared in a designated area, with recipes that exclude milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, soy, mustard, shellfish, wheat, and gluten
  • custom-prepared meals with your specific dietary needs in mind

*True balance allergy friendly recipes can be prepared by the Jean Royce Hall chefs, upon request.

To expedite requested modified meals or additional precautionary measures when preparing your meal, please call the kitchen a minimum of 30 minutes in advance and ask for a chef, otherwise, please expect delays with preparing customized meals.
