About
Paige Groot is a second year PhD student. She studies colonial environmental history, with a focus on the Lesser Antilles and the broader British Atlantic. Under the supervision of Dr. Amitava Chowdhury, her research uses HGIS (historical geographic information systems) to map imperial and creole ecologies in the early modern Caribbean.
In addition to her research, she is a Student Fellow with the Global History Initiative and serves the as Fundraising Coordinator for the Early Career Caucus.
