Please join us for a pre-convocation reception on June 21, 11:00am to 12:30pm in Ontario Hall, room 323. Friends and family are welcome; light refreshments will be provided.

The 2022 Convocation Ceremony for Art Conservation (M.A.C.) and Art History (Ph.D., M.A., B.A.H, B.A.) is scheduled for Tuesday, June 21 at 3pm at the Leon's Centre. Graduate arrival time is two  hours (2) prior to the ceremony, or 1:00pm. Guest seating limit is two (2) per graduate. Spring convocation ceremonies will also be livestreamed starting 15 minutes prior to each event.

Ph.D. candidate's makes People's Choice round of Art of Research Photo Contest

Among the images selected for the People's Choice round of ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s Art of Research Photo Contest is a photograph taken by Art History Ph.D. candidate Ben McHutchion. McHutchion snapped this photo of Helmut Heinze's bronze statue, Choir of Survivors, which has resided at England's Coventry Cathedral since 2012. The statue was donated by the city of Dresden, and captures the civilian casualties of WWII aerial bombing campaigns. McHutchion's photograph complements his research, including the international cultural exchange in times of war.

Join the Bader International Study Centre for a special public lecture with Dr. Ruth Cereceda, ahead of ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´ Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee.

In the Ballroom of , Dr. Cereceda explores key fashion moments of royals — including King Charles I, ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´ Victoria, and Princess Diana — and their influence on the fashion world.

Admission to the lecture is free, and those attending in person may stay for the drinks reception in the castle Ballroom.

Prof. Antonia Behan to speak at ROM's Inside Mobile Palace

Art History Professor Antonia Behan is a scheduled speaker for the Royal Ontario Museum's , the online event centred around the ROM's current exhibition, Swapnaa Tamhane: Mobile Palace. Running May 11, 11am-12pm ET, Prof. Behan joins the ROM's Dan Mishra Curator of South Asian Arts and Culture, Deepali Dewan, and artist Swapnaa Tamhane for a 45-minute presentation on the exhibit, followed by a live Q&A with viewers.
