Colloquium highlights innovative teaching at ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s

The Showcase for Teaching and Learning at ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´’s, a day-long colloquium hosted by ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´’s Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), will highlight some of the many innovative teaching and learning strategies that ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´’s faculty, librarians and graduate students are using to promote student engagement and success.
“This event is an excellent way for presenters and attendees to share their successes in creating an engaged teaching and learning environment,” says Denise Stockley, Acting Director of the CTL. “It is also a chance to spark a peer-to-peer dialogue about emerging, innovative practices in higher education.”
Showcase presenters include ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´’s faculty, librarians and graduate students who will discuss topics including peer-to-peer learning, student engagement, the pros and cons of video lectures, and teaching with twitter.
The day will conclude with a panel discussion on the institutional challenges and opportunities at ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´’s with respect to the enhancement of teaching and learning.
