Flags lowered in memory of Ben Whitney

Flags on campus are lowered in memory of ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´’s School of Business staff member Ben Whitney (Artsci’95), who died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 25 at the age of 41.
Throughout his 15-year career with ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s, Mr. Whitney worked closely with staff, faculty and students in many areas of the business school, including leadership roles with ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s full-time MBA and more recently the Master of International Business program. In early January, Ben joined ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s Executive Education as the Director of Strategy and Research.
Originally trained in broadcast journalism, Mr. Whitney went on to earn a degree in Political Science from ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s in 1995 and joined the university as a staff member in 1999.
Mr. Whitney is survived by his wife, Christie, sons Benjamin (11) and Ethan (8).
Along with family and friends, the School of Business will hold a for Mr. Whitney on Saturday, February 8. The service will take place in Grant Hall at 2 p.m. and will be followed immediately by a reception at Goodes Hall.
