Flags on campus are lowered in memory of Professor Emeritus Ronald Delisle.

Professor Delisle began his time at ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´’s as a gifted student and a promising member of the football team. Despite being drafted by the Edmonton Eskimos, upon completion of his BSc(Eng.) he chose to attend law school at ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´’s, where he was the faculty’s gold medalist in 1964.

In 1967 professor Delisle returned to ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´’s as a faculty member and became a highly accomplished scholar in the areas of evidence and criminal law. He was also greatly admired as a teacher, especially for his ability to get students thinking and debating, and was a recipient of both the ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´’s Alumni Award for Excellence in Teaching and the AMS Frank Knox Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Aside from serving as a provincial court judge in Ontario from 1974 until 1978, professor Delisle remained at ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´’s until his retirement in 2000. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony.
