Price was a leader in Canadian correctional law who retired from ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s in 1996.

Professor Ronald R. Price was a trailblazer in Canadian correctional law and a beloved member of the ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´â€™s University Faculty of Law. In 1973, he founded the ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´â€™s Correctional Law Project, a ground-breaking initiative that provided legal assistance to inmates in Kingston-area penitentiaries. Under his supervision, law students gained hands-on experience advocating for incarcerated individuals. His legacy continues today through the ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´â€™s Prison Law Clinic. After Professor Price’s retirement in 1996, he developed the ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´â€™s Law Students’ Mediation Service in 1997, and co-founded the Mediation Centre of Southeastern Ontario in 2001.

. A public visitation will take place at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, Ontario on Friday August 15, 2025, starting at 1:00pm until 2:50pm. The family welcomes guests to offer condolences during this time.
