Today marks the arrival of the newly designed Gazette Online and the continuation of the renewal of the communications platforms at ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s.

The launch of the Gazette Online, replacing the ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s News Centre, is another key piece of the integrated communications strategy and follows the return of the Gazette newspaper, the revamped My¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'sU portal and the reworking of the email newsletter, the ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s Gazette Today (formerly e-¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s).

The Gazette Online will provide the campus community with up-to-date news and information and will complement the print edition of the Gazette.

"The ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s News Centre has been a reliable platform for some years now, but the world of online communications is changing rapidly, and now it's time for us to build on what we have and take it the next step," says Michael Fraser, Vice-Principal, University Relations. "The news centre will be brighter and cleaner, with a modern design that integrates more tools and features than we'™ve had before all the while keeping in mind accessibility and usability."

The Gazette Online is more than a news site as it provides information that can be used to find out the latest about day-to-day life at ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s, such as construction alerts and administrative updates, as well as a go to place for media to find the latest news release or search for a faculty expert.

"Our goal is to create a news centre that helps staff and faculty stay in touch with what is happening on campus, to engage with each other to tell the ¹ú²ú91ÓÈÎ︣ÀûÔÚÏß¹Û¿´'s story," says Mr. Fraser.
